Reservations Open

  • City Residents: Beginning October 1
  • Nonresidents: Beginning November 1

Reservations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. A security deposit and completed application are required to reserve a pavilion for a specific date and time. Reserve early to ensure availability.


Rental Details

  • Pavilions are rented in five-hour blocks. Rental time must include setup and cleanup.
  • Preparation for catering and/or amusement services should be included in your rental time.
  • Additional time may be purchased.
  • If your group plans to serve alcoholic beverages (beer and wine only), a permit is required.
  • Alcoholic beverages are not permitted at Griffith Park.

Hours of Operation

April - August: 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. or dusk (whichever occurs first)
September - October: 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. or dusk (whichever occurs first)

The City of Gaithersburg welcomes the opportunity to serve you as a rental patron at the picnic pavilions at Bohrer Park or Griffith Park. Please read the guidelines in the document section in their entirety for important information regarding pavilion use.
