From Baroque to Bold: A Celebration of Viola Voices Across Time
Join acclaimed violist Karin Brown for an expressive evening of music spanning the centuries and showcasing the viola’s rich and versatile voice. She is joined by energetic pianist Minji Nam, whose vibrant artistry adds spark to this dynamic performance.
The program includes Scarlatti’s elegant Sonata in D Minor, Robert Schumann’s evocative Märchenbilder (“Fairy Tale Pictures”), Clara Schumann’s lyrical Three Romances, and Rebecca Clarke’s powerful and pioneering Viola Sonata. Experience the emotional depth and beauty of the viola, and the compelling collaboration of these two outstanding artists in an intimate setting.
