Gospel music, the uniquely American art form that gave rise to jazz, blues, R&B, and rock and roll, will be celebrated to the highest as the City of Gaithersburg presents the 20th Annual Jubilation Day Gospel Concert. On Saturday, June 13, 2026, from 3 to 7 p.m., the Concert Pavilion at City Hall will host performances of all styles of Gospel, Christian and uplifting music by local and regional artists.
“This year’s event marks a new chapter for the long-running event with a reimagined format and stronger spotlight on live music and professional entertainment that features regional and national performers,” says program organizer Jenny Lazo. “With a refreshed format, outstanding talent, and an exciting new vision, this year's Jubilation Day promises to be a memorable celebration of music and community.”
With a renewed focus on professional gospel entertainment, the event features regional and national artists delivering 30‑minute sets, leading up to a 45‑minute headline performance by The Soul Messengerz, a group well‑known in gospel circles for their dynamic, soulful praise.
