Celebrate diverse and vibrant holiday traditions at Gaithersburg’s Jingle Jubilee. Enjoy an evening of music, dance, and song. This year marks the 99th anniversary of the tree lighting ceremony. The festivities take place at the City Hall Concert Pavilion in Olde Towne on Friday, December 5, 2025, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Admission is free. The outdoor venue features lawn seating with limited chairs.

Children and adults alike will delight in meeting Santa, Frosty the Snowman, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, Paw Patrol, and other characters. Be sure to bring your camera to capture memorable holiday photos. This year’s event features letters to Santa, ornament decorating crafts, holiday story time with Mrs. Claus, and special pop-up performances around the event grounds. Sing along to holiday songs with the Gaithersburg High School Symphonic Band and enjoy interactive exhibits of diverse cultural traditions and decorations.

To keep things toasty at Jingle Jubilee, enjoy cocoa and sweet treats from local bakery Matelna Bakes or delicious sandwiches, coffees, and tea from Sugusto. The evening will include holiday wishes from the Mayor and City Council and the magnificent tree lighting ceremony that includes new special features and Menorah and Kinara light displays. The Gaithersburg Student Union will be selling glow toys to support its programs and scholarships. LED balloons will be given away while supplies last.

In the spirit of the holiday season, the City will be accepting donations to the Holiday Giving Program at this year’s Jingle Jubilee. Every child deserves a gift during the holidays, and you can help make that happen. Learn more and donate here.
