G-Works Internship

Program Information

Eligibility: Students currently in grades 11–12 as of September 1, 2026.
Student Union Membership Required: To participate in G-Works, students must be members of the Student Union. Membership is affordable and easy to obtain—register online or in person at the Activity Center at Bohrer Park (Resident: $15, Nonresident: $20).

There is no cost associated with the G-Works program itself. Once membership is secured, students can register for G-Works and begin their journey toward career readiness.

How does G-Works work?

To qualify for a G-Works internship, students must first complete the Workforce Development Class:

Date: Wednesday, April 15, 2026
Time: 9 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Location: Activity Center at Bohrer Park

After successfully completing the class, students will be eligible to apply for an internship with the Summer Camps program.

Internship Details

Duration: 8 – 10 weeks, including mandatory training (June 11 – August 14)
Stipend: Covers food and travel expenses (W-9 with SSN or TIN required)

Important Note: Completing the Workforce Development Class does not guarantee an internship offer.

Program Information

CITs work directly with program participants, assisting with camper supervision and leading activities such as sports, games, arts & crafts, and special events. CITs also have the option to work one-on-one as an inclusion CIT, supporting campers with specific needs.

Application Process

Complete and submit the application via email, or in person at the Activity Center at Bohrer Park.
Interviews will be conducted upon receipt of the completed application.

Application Process & Important Dates

Applications: Will be available online and at the Activity Center at Bohrer Park starting Friday, January 23, 2026.
Deadline to submit application is Friday, March 20, 2026.
Group Interviews: Scheduled between late February and early April.
Volunteer Acceptance & Registration: Letters sent in late April detailing submission expectations.
Registration & Payment Deadline: Friday, May 15, 2026.
All CITs must complete one session of the CIT Training Clinic.

Important: DO NOT submit payment before receiving an acceptance letter.
