Holiday Giving
Every child deserves a gift during the holidays. You can make that happen!
For over 25 years, the City of Gaithersburg and its generous partners have brought joy to children and families through the Holiday Giving Program. This year, the City is accepting donations to purchase gift cards for families in need with children ages 1-17 and will offer them the opportunity to participate in seasonal activities on the day of giving. The program provides meaningful support, ensuring that children experience the magic of the winter holidays.

Note that you will be asked to login or register to use the online donation function. Your information will not be shared with any outside parties. This registration will also allow you to register for other City activities, such as recreation classes, camps, clinics and more.
To prevent duplication of services, the program collaborates with the countywide Holiday Giving Project, coordinated by the Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services. Referrals are made by area schools, social service agencies, and nonprofit organizations to a centralized database. City Residents are directed to the City’s Community Services Division for assistance.
The Gaithersburg Holiday Giving Coalition includes local congregations, businesses, nonprofit organizations, and individuals, all working together to support City of Gaithersburg families. Residents of Wells/Robertson House, members of the Student Union, and the Gaithersburg Financial Wellness Coalition also play key roles in the program’s success.
