Inspections for day care, adult care, private educational facilities, etc. are required by the state of Maryland. If you are required to have this type of inspection a request may be submitted by one of three methods:

1. Via our Online Portal at by visiting Planning, Permitting, and Licensing - Online Services.
   
   
2. Visit the Planning & Code Administration Department on the first floor of Gaithersburg City Hall, fill out a Request for Fire Marshal Inspection Application & pay the fee due by credit card, check, or cash.
   
   
3. Fill out the Request for Fire Marshal Inspection Application and return it with a check or money order by mail.

Upon receipt of your permit, you will be provided instructions on how to schedule the required inspection.
