Residential Building Permits are required for all new residential construction, demolition and relocation.
The first step in obtaining permits for new residential one- and two-family dwellings is to have the plans reviewed. The plans can be submitted for review concurrently with the building elevation review submitted to Planning Services. However, changes will be required if the building elevations on the construction plans do not meet those elevations approved by the Planning Division or the Planning Commission.
If the site plans have been approved by the Planning Commission, City Engineering and Planning Division, building permits may be submitted concurrently with the new home plan review application. Submission requirements are listed at the end of the New Residential Building Permit Application.
