Based on relevant activity this page will be updated daily if necessary. The Gaithersburg Police Department does not maintain or publish independent crime statistics specific to locations within the City of Gaithersburg. However, comprehensive crime data for Montgomery County, including incidents occurring within the City of Gaithersburg, is publicly available through dataMontgomery.

All information is derived from incidents classified under the National Incident-Based Reporting System (NIBRS), a component of the Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) Program administered by the Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Division of the FBI. These incidents are documented through official, approved police reports.

The data is compiled using EJustice, a secure and widely utilized law enforcement records management system employed by the Montgomery County Police Department and other partner agencies. To protect the privacy of victims, no names or personally identifying information are included. The database is updated quarterly to reflect revisions or updates resulting from ongoing investigations.
